Description: | The project was a Turnkey Project and was completed in 2006. The project linked an existing terminal yard at East Lindfield NSW with the existing transmission substation in Campbell Street, Artarmon. The cable's 10km journey passed through the north eastern suburbs of Lindfield, Roseville and ended at Artarmon. Its route included installation in a 150m long tunnel under the Gore Hill Freeway and under a railway line. The cable route included section lengths in excess of 900m and involved multiple bends which required the use of intermediate cable pushers. The project was highly successful and delivered ahead of schedule and within budget. |
